Reminds me of a time when I had the police knock at my door about 9pm one night.

I answer the door. There are 5 police officers standing there. They say they want to come in to check my home, because they have had a complaint of domestic abuse. I say, do you have a warrant? I am alone, there is no one else here.

Police, we dont need a warrant, we will come in and check whether you want us to or not.

I say, you must have the wrong address. There is a road that is the same name as mine but it is an avenue and not a road. You must have passed it on your way here.

I say, you are wasting time when I woman could be in danger. there is no one here.

They all push past me, spend 15 minutes searching my home and then storm off, back to their cars.

I call out, where is my apology you wankers.

The following day there is a report in the local paper. Low and behold they had the wrong address and a woman had been severely beaten.

    Wankers

This is an insanely appalling story that should be headline news – but isn't. And the commission's findings that the police are not at fault are barely credible!
